Hey Philly people. Don’t know what to do after the snowpocalypse? How about coming to see us at Philly NerdNite.

Where: The Field House, 1150 Filbert

When: Thursday, January 13. Doors open at 7:30. The show start at 8.

How: $5 cover gets you great nerdly entertainment and reduced prices for drinks.

What: Talks on

  • “The ENIAC: The first modern computer, the men who invented it, and the women who (re)invented programming” by Mitch Marcus, Univ. of Pennsylvania
  • “From the table to the grave: using animal bones to uncover past human behavior” by Kristen Gardella, Univ. of Pennsylvania
  • “How (not) to build a time machine” by Dave Goldberg, Drexel Univ. and Jeff Blomquist, Boeing and Widener Univ.

Plus storytelling, juggling, and potentially much, much more.

We’ll have books for sale, and we’ll be happy to sign any books you bring.

    Aw, I wish I’d been paying better attention and seen this before. You, my great friend’s dad, and animal bones! So sorry I missed it. One of these days I’ll be able to come watch you entertain people live and in person.

      Even without Team “User’s Guide,” these things are totally worth going to. They’re every month at the Field House (underneath the convention center) on (I believe) the second Thursday of the month.
