Official Release (and other User's Guide news)

Despite the fact that the Wiley warehouse, amazon, Barnes and Noble, and other outlets have all jumped the gun, today is the official release date for the book! We even had a book release party on Saturday (pictures to come) to do it up in style. As a consequence, this week is packed with events. In case you’re too busy to check our press room, we’ll summarize them for you here.

  • Tuesday, March 9 — We’ll be posting a guest entry in John Scalzi’s Big Idea blog. Basically, it’s all about why you should buy our book, and if you’ve bought it, why you should read it.
  • Tuesday, March 9, 6pm — We’ll be giving a short talk, and signing copies of our book at the Barnes and Noble on Rittenhouse square.
  • Thursday, March 11, 7pm — I’ll be giving a time travel talk at the Franklin Institute
  • Saturday, March 13, 1:00pm EST — I’ll be giving a time travel talk at the Meta Institute for Computational Astrophysics. This will be a talk in Second Life, and I’ve never done anything like this before. It should, at least, be good for some laughs.

Hope to see you at one or all of these.
