Welcome to Studio 360 listeners

I hope everyone is having a great holiday.  I know I am.  I just got an email from one of the producers of Studio 360.  Apparently, my time travel episode (featuring Janelle Monae and Connie Willis!) will air this weekend, and it will be posted to their website and Audible.com over the next few days.  If you’re the sort of person who needs to hear it over the radio, you can get your local times here.

And if you are a Studio 360 fan who is visiting us for the first time, welcome. This blog basically consists of some of Jeff and my musings about the interface of science and pop culture, current events in physics and astronomy, goings-on in Philadelphia, and the occasional rant about rubber spatulas. Please take a look around.

It is also the base of operations for our forthcoming book, “A User’s Guide to the Universe: Surviving the Perils of Black Holes, Time Paradoxes, and Quantum Uncertainty” (coming March 8, 2010, but you can pre-order now). It’s your plain-English source for all of the hot topics in what’s going on in the universe.

Thanks for stopping by.

You can download the episode here and, if you’re interested, you can watch the Connie Willis/Dave Goldberg part of the interview:
