I had so much fun on Studio 360 last night. First of all, thanks to Emily Joy, Jeff, Connie, and Ellen for coming out, and thanks to Josh for practice interviews. It really put me at ease, and I think I did a pretty good job.
Secondly, the other guests were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Connie Willis was there. She did a reading from her upcoming book, and we spent a lot of time in the green room talking about time travel. She does not like parallel universes, apparently, though mostly on literary and moral grounds.
Also, Janelle Monae and her band were unbelievably awesome. They rocked extremely hard, and were so nice. Jeff was so excited that she was going to be there that he brought his CD to get signed. Ellen and Connie helped Jeff to be magnanimous by giving him a galley to give to her. It was our first official signed book! Jeff will almost certainly post pictures at some point.
Anyway, for those of you who missed the webcast, the actual show should air around New Years on your local Public Radio station, or on the podcast.
I hope you can wait that long.
